Ces caract\u00e9ristiques font que le b\u00e9ton \u00e0 hautes performances est plus susceptible de souffrir de retrait plastique. Le b\u00e9ton perd de l'eau en surface avant d'avoir compl\u00e8tement pris, alors qu'il reste dans un \u00e9tat plastique stable \u00e0 l'int\u00e9rieur. Cette diff\u00e9rence cr\u00e9e une contrainte de traction \u00e0 la surface. Lorsque la contrainte devient sup\u00e9rieure \u00e0 la contrainte de traction, des fissures apparaissent. L'humidit\u00e9 relative du syst\u00e8me de pores est inf\u00e9rieure \u00e0 80 %. Le retrait chimique est donc moins important que dans un b\u00e9ton ordinaire. Il est \u00e0 noter que les fissures form\u00e9es par le retrait autog\u00e8ne ont toujours un impact sur la structure microscopique du b\u00e9ton. Combin\u00e9 \u00e0 d'autres facteurs, il peut \u00e9galement \u00eatre \u00e0 l'origine de fissures.<\/span><\/p><p><span class=\"content mubu-node\">Outre les facteurs susmentionn\u00e9s, une autre raison principale de la fissuration du b\u00e9ton est la contrainte de contraction de la temp\u00e9rature.
